Drake had never felt so low in all of his life. This new doctor he had couldn't read him at all. What? Did the guy get his diploma out of lucky packet? Drake felt heart broken that he'd had to lie to Drew and it had to come to this. He was being sent away to someone else and what was worse was that he was having to face watching Drew be kind to other patients and blatantly ignoring him. Was this a trick? Was Drew still determined to get his full name, exact date of birth and the name of his abductor as well as where he lived out of him?
His parents would have been way over the loss of their son right now and to be honest, he'd been taken when he was really young, educated properly and disciplined. He'd developed a thirst for knowledge under his abductors guidance, he knew his abductor would severely punish him...if Drake was to ever give him away. Drake was frightened of what would happen to him if his abductor came in and just took him away. His abductor had been good at convincing people to do things for him.
Those dark, disapproving eyes, fixed on him, seated in the back seat with those specticle glasses on. Those firm lips pulled into a grim look. "Didn't I tell you to be careful of what you, Boy? You really disappointed me..." He'd hear from his abductor and then afterward... there would be hell to pay. Drake saw him often...walking the halls but Drake was quick to turn the other way. He'd told Drew his abductor was here and Drew had shaken his head.
"It's just an illusion, Drake. He's far away from here. He'll never hurt you again. You're safe."
Drew had said and Drake's hopes for being safe had shattered. That's when Drake had begun to lie. If his abductor was here, he was preparing to strike and Drake had to be a good boy and do what he could to avoid punishment. It was a shame that he'd had to hurt Drew in the process... but it was better this way. One day Drew would understand. Drake yelped when someone sat beside him.
He'd been too last in his own dreams and thoughts that he had become so on edge sitting there on the couch in the dusk when it was empty and everyone was at dinner that he hadn't been aware of being caught, breaking the rules. He frowned deeply. His Orderly was easy to slip away from. Cian didn't pay much attention to him. Cian was far more preoccupied with the most dangerous of his patients. Axelle. Cian didn't even seem to consider himself and Rachel to be his patients so it made it easier on them and Drake took every opportunity to slip away. His eyes fixed on the person beside him, wide eyed and fearful before he quickly dropped his eyes.
